George Escobar

George Escobar is a joyful follower of Jesus Christ and is dedicated to making God’s love, truth, and mercy known to cinema audiences worldwide. After leading Advent Film Group for 15 years, he served as Executive Producer of Films and Visual Media for Focus on the Family over the last four years. He recently became Chief Operating Officer of Trustpoint Studios, a full-service digital marketing company based in Northern Virginia. Clients include Zion Springs. Previously, George shared producing, directing, and writing credits for Academy nominated (Best Original Song) Alone Yet Not Alone, and other award-winning features, including: The World We Make, Come What May, Every Boy Needs a Hero, Farmer and the Belle: Saving Santaland, and The Screenwriters. He has also directed a dozen documentaries including SEE LIFE 2020, The Isaiah 9:10 Judgment and produced Disinformation, The Harbinger Man, and The Last Pope. He is a speaker, teacher, and lecturer at CWVFF, Content19, Long Beach State University, Bob Jones University, screenwriting workshops, and many homeschool conferences. He is a graduate of the American Film Institute Conservatory, was Vice President of Product Development at Discovery Networks, Executive Director for AOL/TimeWarner, and co-author of Filmmaking for Christians and the new book, Screenwriting for Christians, publishing this Summer 2024. George is currently co-writing the screenplay: The Farmer and the Belle 2: A Rodeo Marriage for actress and producer, Jenn Gotzon. His other Advent Film Group projects, MISSILEMAN and TRAPPED are in development. He and his wife have three grown sons serving communities in Oregon and Virginia.
