David Svenson

David Svenson has been a Camera / Steadicam Operator and Director of Photography for over 25 years. David began his career as a camera operator on the Dean Smith and Mack Brown coach’s shows in Chapel Hill, NC shooting player features, game highlights and learning the ropes of field production. Over the years, he has worked for NBC, ABC, Speed Channel and Fox Sports among others. David’s longtime interest in narrative storytelling turned a corner in 2014 when he was asked to work on The Kendrick Brother’s film War Room and has since been blessed to work on other inspirational films like, The Forge, Overcomer, Indivisible, Like Arrows, Woodlawn, and Lifemark. The “Moving Camera” has always been an interest to David, and Steadicam quickly became his passion early in his freelancing career. The more he learned, the more he had a desire to share this craft with others. In 2002, he became an instructor with Tiffen and The Steadicam Operators Association National Workshops and also began conducting yearly workshops for students at Asbury University. David lives in Locust, NC with his wife, Julie and his three children Abi(20), Honor (18) and Ty (14).
