Ed is a 1987 graduate of the University of Georgia and earned a Master of Theological Studies with High Distinction from Liberty University in 2019. In 2015, Ed and his wife Susan founded M2540 — a non-profit ministry that serves the homeless community in Columbus, GA. Called into full-time ministry, he transitioned out of the business world in 2018 and is Lead Pastor at Church On The Trail in Columbus, GA. In 2021, Ed toured with Kirk Cameron and shared the Gospel in several venues around the country on his American Campfire Revival Tour. He also wrote the curriculum for the American Campfire Revival Training Series. Ed’s wife, Susan, began working in the film industry in 2018 on Overcomer and has done several since then. Ed often tagged along, and because pastors (noun) pastor (verb), he organically began shepherding these casts and crews. In March 2023, Ed co-founded Set Shepherds, a nonprofit ministry designed to shepherd cast and crew for Christ. In 2023, He was the Set Shepherd for Divine Influencer and served on The Forge. Early in 2024, he co-produced and shepherded Carol. Ed & Susan have been married since 1988. They have 2 married sons and 3 grandchildren.
