Where has all the beauty gone?

For thousands of years, civilizations have constructed majestic cathedrals and monuments; today any craftsmen who could build them are nearly gone. Young people are steered away from trades, and craft traditions like stonemasonry and stained glass are only one generation away from dying out. These buildings aren’t just decoration. Our environment has the power to remind us what really matters, and we need not only functional but beautiful spaces to live, work, govern, and worship. When the only buildings left are crass and utilitarian, those are the values we leave behind. There is a solution. The National Academy for the Building Arts doesn’t just teach trades; it shapes craftsmen who can make beauty that lasts.
