Daniel Schwabauer is an award-winning author, speaker, and teacher. His professional work also includes stage plays, radio scripts, short stories, newspaper columns, comic books and scripting for animated TV.

His young adult novels, Runt the Brave and Runt the Hunted, have received numerous awards, including the 2005 Ben Franklin Award and the 2008 Eric Hoffer Award. His most recent novel, the adult sci-fi thriller Operation Grendel, released in hardcover from Enclave. Daniel graduated with honors from Kansas University’s Masters program in Creative Writing in 1995 under the guidance of science fiction writer James Gunn.
