Erica Penk knew she wanted to pursue animation and voice acting but it was her technical skills that gave her the “foot-in-the-door”. She joined the Emergent Game Lab at Georgia Tech where she earned a master’s degree in Digital Media. Little did she know that motion capture and realtime technology would become so integral to the filmmaking industry.
She has been using Unreal Engine (a gaming software) since 2015 and became an Unreal Authorized Instructor in 2021. She’s taught and mentored for the prestigious Unreal Fellowship program, been an on-set Unreal operator for Eisley Creative, and interned with Warner Media.
Erica is passionate about equipping kingdom storytellers with virtual production skill sets and using art and technology to bring inner healing- especially with teenage girls. When she’s not mentoring or teaching, she enjoys Israeli folk dancing, singing and playing keyboard at GateCity Church in Lawrenceville, GA, and perfecting her craft as an actor.
