Empty Nets is a 1st century comedy about Matthias, a struggling inventor and his wife, Mara who is barren and therefore ridiculed, naturally. One day, Matthias learns that he has inherited his uncle’s business in Capernick (We know you’re thinking of Capernaum which was named after Nahum the prophet, but Capernick, was named after the false prophet Nick. Don’t worry God dealt with him). Matthias, owing money to the region’s mob boss and loan shark Vinnius (he’s from Sicily and grumpy) decides to take his wife, start afresh and escape to Capernick.
