Jonathan Terpstra has worked in the lighting department of the film industry for the past 16 years. In 2016, wife Juli was newly pregnant with their 2nd child, they felt led by the Lord to move to Atlanta, GA – “Hollywood South” or what the locals like to call “Y’allywood”. This is where Jonathan has continued to work in the film industry the past 7.5 years.

Throughout his career God has blessed Jonathan with many different opportunities to work and learn from some of the best Gaffers and Cinematographers in this industry. Some of his lighting technician credits include: Oz the Great and Powerful, Terminator Gensys, Jack Reacher 2, Logan, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and Shazam 2. However, Jonathan has found his greatest joy in taking the skills he’s learned and applying them to leading the lighting department as the Chief Lighting Technician (or “gaffer”) on movies like Woodlawn, Unplanned, The Hill, Birthright and most recently the Kendrick Brothers’ movie “The Forge”.
