Shari Rigby is an actress, director, writer, producer, author, and inspirational speaker. She is best known as a leading actress in faith and family inspirational entertainment for her roles in Overcomer, October Baby, Not Today, Wildflower, and The Least of These.
Shari kicked off her career 15 years ago as a former print model and commercial actress, representing numerous companies such as Mercedes Benz, Humira, American West Airlines, Suzuki, and many more. As Shari’s career continued to gain momentum, she found herself landing co-star roles in The Young & The Restless and The Bold & The Beautiful. Soon after, she landed a lead actress role in the Dove award-winning music video, Slow Fade by Casting Crowns, for hit movie Fireproof, launching her into a successful acting career in faith and family films.
With Shari’s strong background of well-crafted screen performances, actor-turned-director, she is quickly developing a reputation as an ‘actor’s director. Her love for storytelling gave her the opportunity to direct a pivotal scene on Overcomer. Shari has executive produced, written, and directed 20 episodes for the television series Dream Center for Daystar, and together with Claire Yorita Lee, she co-wrote the online devotional for the re-release of FOX’s The Passion of the Christ. Shari’s autobiography, Beautifully Flawed, was co-written with Claire Yorita Lee and published in March 2015. In addition, Shari executive produced, wrote, and directed the pilot Beautifully Flawed for television.
Shari continues to thrive in the entertainment industry as a role model and mentor to women of all ages through her ministry, The Women In My World, a women’s group focusing on identity, purpose, ministry, mentoring, and leadership. Shari’s new book, Consider the Lilies: Get Rooted In Your Destiny By Discovering God’s Plan, releases April 2020, sharing practical tools that she uses to help herself and the women she does life with keep their eyes focused on walking in God’s will, no matter where He has planted us.
Shari is outspoken and passionate about her faith and family. She and her husband, Matt, have been married for twenty-four years and have been blessed to raise two boys together.
