Todd Shaffer

Todd Shaffer has worked in animation for 31 years. He has directed projects in a wide variety of mediums that include 2D hand drawn animation, 3D animation, motion capture and live action.

Todd wrote and directed the animated films The Promise: Birth of the Messiah and the yet to be released Prodigal the Musical. He was also the creative and animation director of the 2D animation for Disney’s Disenchanted. He has supervised animation for Space Jam: A New Legacy, The Bob’s Burger Movie, episodes for Green Eggs and Ham, Animaniacs, Central Park, and a handful of the Looney Tunes Cartoons for HBO Max. He is currently directing animation for a feature film for Warner Bros. which will be released next year.

He is also a writer who has written and sold five screenplays and written the lyrics for 28 songs for his two musicals. His latest screenplay, a live-action western, O’ Bury Me Now, was nominated for Best Screenplay at both the Content Film Festival and the Christian International Faith & Family Film Festival in 2022.

Todd lives with his wife Melissa and three of his four children in Montreal, and serves as a preaching elder at Grace Church in Verdun, Quebec.
